Wine Bucks & Explorer Pass Redemptions Made Simple

Redeeming and reimbursing wine bucks just got a whole lot easier. Here's how it works, step by step.

Step 1: Redemption Happens Automatically

Passport holders redeem their wine bucks right through the digital Nebraska Wine Passport app. AAM gets pinged the moment it happens and mails the physical wine bucks straight to the passport holder — no middleman required.

One key thing: wineries shouldn't be handing out wine bucks anymore. We've got that covered from our end, so you can focus on pouring great wine.

Step 2: You Get Your Envelope Kit 📬

You'll receive 4 envelopes all at once, one for each collection period:

  • September 2026

  • December 2026

  • March 2027

  • June 2027

We'll also toss in a counting/verification sheet so you can keep track as you go.

Step 3: Sort & Count as You Go

  • When a guest hands you wine bucks, drop them in the envelope for whichever period you're currently in. (Anything collected before September 1? That's a September envelope situation.)

  • Count twice — measure twice, mail once, as they say.

  • Jot your verified total down on the sheet.

Step 4: Mail It Back to Us

Once a collection period wraps up, pop these two things in the mail to AAM:

  1. The wine bucks, neatly sorted in their labeled envelope

  2. Your completed counting sheet with the verified total

Step 5: Get Reimbursed

Once your envelope lands on our desk, our financial director gets your reimbursement check moving. Just note: we can only reimburse once we physically have the wine bucks in hand — so the sooner it's in the mail, the sooner your check is too.

Bonus Step: Explorer Pass? Already Handled

This one runs on autopilot — no extra step needed from you:

  • At the end of each quarter (August 31, November 30, etc.), we pull a redemption report straight from Bandwango.

  • Explorer Pass reimbursements go out at the same time as your wine bucks reimbursement.
